Callihan vs. Dar Semi Final Confirmed - Feb 26th Sittingbourne
Published Friday, 13th January 2012
If Noam Dar thought that life after his IPW:UK debut against Eddie Edwards would get any easier he can think again as Dar faces a huge challenge in his return to the promotion where he is looking to put his name firmly on the map. On Sunday February 26th Noam Dar will go one on one with Sami Callihan as both men fight for their shot at the British Cruiserweight Championship.
Callihan returns to IPW almost one year since his debut with an IPW:UK 1-1 record (with his victory coming against fellow tournament participant Zack Sabre Jnr.) and all the momentum in the world on his side.
A regular for DG USA & Evolve promotions as well as the current CZW Junior Heavyweight Champion and winner of last year’s prestigious WXW 16 Carat Gold Tournament, Callihan brings all the credentials in the world to the table and will be looking to add the British Cruiserweight Championship to his list of accolades as he continues to write wrestling headlines around the world.
Stylistically this is a very interesting encounter as both men like to hit hard and both men like to finish their opponents with a leg based submission, with Dar looking to apply the Kneebar for the submission win, whist Sami favours his ‘Strech Muffler’ over the shoulder, single leg boston crab. Both men will no doubt be going all out to impress and pick up to crucial victories that would see them just one step away from being crowned champion.
With everything to gain and so much to loose this contest is as high stakes as they come and if you were a betting man you would be wise not to bet against these two athletes stealing the show!
