IPW:UK Presents The Last Stand At Orpington As On March 16th, We Have Our Very Last “Battle Royale”!
» On September 25th 2004 IPW:UK was born – in front of short of 100 people, we saw the likes of Spud, Ricky Knight, Colt Cabana, Robbie Brookside, Tony Sefton, Jonny Storm and of course PWG star Super Dragon take to the air of the Orpington Halls for the very first time.
Fast forward through multiple shows ever since, and on March 16th our journey at the Halls comes to an end, as just weeks later it will be turned to rubble – the beginning of a redevelopment project that could last up to two years.
Featuring a main event
Last Man Standing match between current IPW:UK Champion Andy Boy Simmonz and #1 Contender ‘The Guvnor’ Martin Stone, as well as the annual Battle Royale 30-man rumble match, IPW:UK want to go out on a high – and with 1/3 of the tickets sold already, we’re sure to do so. Make sure you’re a part of something special!

The British National Championship Continues On March 16th!
» Long after IPW:UK leave Orpington, fans will be seeing the continuation of the year-long British National Championship. With over half of the field now eliminated from the tournament, entrants find themselves knowing their second round opponents, and can begin to scout for weakness.
One match however took place this past Sunday night, as Last Ninja became the first man to book his place into the second round, impressively defeating Maddog Maxx. Ninja has now defeated both Maxx and of course the massive first round upset against Pac.
On March 16th however, fans will see champion Sam Slam come into the tournament for the first time. Sam, as the All-England champion, is pivotal to the bracketing as his title is on the line at ALL stages throughout the competition. As a champion, he was seeded directly into the second round, and will have to take on the mammoth UK Pitbull Bulk in Bulk’s Orpington debut.
In addition, Ricky Knight makes his first Orpington appearance since the first ever event, taking on his son The Zebra Kid in what will be a brutal and explosive match, and we see partners collide in singles action for the first time, as ‘The Specialist’ Mark Sloan takes on his young protégé, Wade Fitzgerald. Three very interesting and hard to pick matches, as the British National Championship continues.
For more information on the bracketing, including which third round match will be fought best 2 out of 3 falls, head over to:

The Annual Battle Royale Is Coming
» 30 men enter, only 1 will remain standing. Based on the tried and tested rumble formula, the only way to eliminate your opponent is to throw them over the top rope, and have both their feet hit the ground. With 30 entrants, this mammoth event has had two previous winners – Hated Heroes Andy Boy Simmonz and Aviv Maayan. Can LT Summers, or even Billi Lightning, make this a triple crown?
But, the IPW:UK Battle Royale has one twist – if you eliminate a champion, you get to fight that champion for title gold the next month at Royale Rewards! JC Thunder did it last year and went on to become IPW:UK Champion, and Jon Ryan made his massive impact by throwing out Sam Slam – who will target the four champs this year?
» Of course though, people will want to know – JUST WHO are the 30 entrants? And here are a few names:
#1 - ANDY BOY SIMMONZ: The current reigning and defending IPW:UK Champion will want to capture the Battle Royale crown for a second time in his third outing. When he won the event he came in at #1, and last year he was eliminated by the soon to be champion elect, JC Thunder.
#2 – SAM SLAM: The undefeated and some say unstoppable Sam Slam, the current reigning and defending U23 and All-England champion. Whoever eliminates Slam will have the chance to challenge for either of his belts, but should the young heavyweight win it all maybe it will be Simmonz who will need to be on his guard?
#3/#4 – THE KARTEL: Sha Samuels and Terry Frazier, aka The Kartel, are the current reigning and defending IPW:UK Tag Team Champions. This is however, their first Battle Royale as targets; how will they hold up with big bullseyes on their chests?
#5/#6 - BRITRAGE: Both members of BritRage, Sloan and Fitzgerald, will face each other on the undercard. And once again in the main event, it will be ‘each man for themselves’ for the popular tag team unit.
#7/#8 – THE UK PITBULLS: The largest team in Europe, the UK Pitbulls are comprised of Bulk and Big Dave. Both men will be making their Orpington debut and could prove impossible to get over that top rope!
#9 – LT SUMMERS: The 6ft 6in mastodon of the Hated Heroes has proven himself to be back ready for the limelight in recent weeks, and with such a physically impressive frame who is there than can really do serious damage to the big man?
#10 – BILLI LIGHTNING: The celebrity of the Hated Heroes, former Big Brother reality TV contestant turned pro wrestler Billi Lightning will be competing for the first time in an over the top rumble. Undefeated in singles action, will Lightning strike on the rest of the active IPW:UK roster at Battle Royale?
And there you have it – more updates soon!
Who Will Be The Last Man Standing In Orpington?
» After his third win over top line talent on the spin in singles competition, ‘The Guvnor’ Martin Stone elevated himself to the position of #1 contender to the IPW:UK Title this past Sunday and immediately cashed in his cheque for a title shot, challenging Andy Boy Simmonz to face him in one ‘final match’ between the pair of long term rivals on the final show in Orpington, on March the 16th.
The pair, who have fought for title gold in many different ways, in many different promotions, will come together for the most epic time on March 16th, in a Last Man Standing match!
