PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION

  • IPW:UK Presents The Last Stand At Orpington As On March 16th, We Have Our Very Last “Battle Royale”!

» On September 25th 2004 IPW:UK was born – in front of short of 100 people, we saw the likes of Spud, Ricky Knight, Colt Cabana, Robbie Brookside, Tony Sefton, Jonny Storm and of course PWG star Super Dragon take to the air of the Orpington Halls for the very first time.

Fast forward through multiple shows ever since, and on March 16th our journey at the Halls comes to an end, as just weeks later it will be turned to rubble – the beginning of a redevelopment project that could last up to two years.

Featuring a main event Last Man Standing match between current IPW:UK Champion Andy Boy Simmonz and #1 Contender ‘The Guvnor’ Martin Stone, as well as the annual Battle Royale 30-man rumble match, IPW:UK want to go out on a high – and with 1/3 of the tickets sold already, we’re sure to do so. Make sure you’re a part of something special!

  • Eight Man Tag Team Action Added To Sunday’s Final Show At The Orpington Halls!

» In addition to an amazing Last Man Standing match for the IPW:UK Title, a over the top rope 30-man rumble, and 3 amazing matches in the British National Championship, March 16th will also play host to an eight man tag for the ages.

On one side of the ring will be the cocky and hated Leaders of the New School. Captained by Paul Robinson and Marty Scurll, alongside new member Zack Sabre Jr and whipping boy Nikko Brixton (who is on his ‘final chance’ with the group), The Leaders of the New School have a poor record when it comes to win/loss, but due to their despised nature still keep their place on the IPW:UK roster – every other wrestler wants to kick their ass!

2 of their opponents know them very well – the duo of Sha Samuels and Terry Frazier, collectively known as the IPW:UK Tag Team Champions – The Kartel! Frazier & Samuels have kicked the Leaders from post to pillar in the past 6 months, and get to have one more chance to do so again on Sunday!

Their partners will be familiar to most Orpington fans, making a return for one night only… be there Sunday night to find out who!

  • The Annual Battle Royale Is Coming

» 30 men enter, only 1 will remain standing. Based on the tried and tested rumble formula, the only way to eliminate your opponent is to throw them over the top rope, and have both their feet hit the ground. With 30 entrants, this mammoth event has had two previous winners – Hated Heroes Andy Boy Simmonz and Aviv Maayan. Can LT Summers, or even Billi Lightning, make this a triple crown?

But, the IPW:UK Battle Royale has one twist – if you eliminate a champion, you get to fight that champion for title gold the next month at Royale Rewards! JC Thunder did it last year and went on to become IPW:UK Champion, and Jon Ryan made his massive impact by throwing out Sam Slam – who will target the four champs this year?

» Of course though, people will want to know – JUST WHO are the 30 entrants? And here are a few more names:

#11 – AVIV MAAYAN: The first ever IPW:UK Champion, crowned after a series of gruelling matches. Last year’s winner, will be wanting to have a repeat performance this year since becoming IPW:UK exclusive.

#12/13/14/15 – THE LEADERS OF THE NEW SCHOOL: The Leaders, comprising of Paul Robinson, Marty Scurll, Zack Sabre Jr and Nikko Brixton, are all small, quick and agile and will be looking to put those physical plus points into action to try and outlast 29 other men, but won’t be afraid to stab one another in the back if needs be!

#16/17 – THE THRILLERS: ‘The Physical Specimen’ Joey Redman and ‘The Star Attraction’ Mark Haskins have been making waves collectively across the country. With strong showings both in Portsmouth and Orpington, both men are sure to want to prove a point in this year’s Battle Royale!

#18 – JIMMY HAVOC: After a winning debut last time out, the home-town hero Jimmy Havoc will look to take a beating and come out on top once again this Sunday. The rank outsider, looking to cause an upset!

#19 – THE ZEBRA KID: Another man involved earlier in the night, The Zebra Kid is one of the most explosive wrestlers in the UK or the World today and will be looking to beat seven shades out of 29 other wrestlers, including his own father…

#20 – ‘ROWDY’ RICKY KNIGHT: The patriarch of the Knight Dynasty and father of The Zebra Kid – one of the originals of IPW:UK having competed on the first ever Orpington card!

And there you have it – more updates soon!

  • Who Will Be The Last Man Standing In Orpington?

» After his third win over top line talent on the spin in singles competition, ‘The Guvnor’ Martin Stone elevated himself to the position of #1 contender to the IPW:UK Title this past Sunday and immediately cashed in his cheque for a title shot, challenging Andy Boy Simmonz to face him in one ‘final match’ between the pair of long term rivals on the final show in Orpington, on March the 16th.

The pair, who have fought for title gold in many different ways, in many different promotions, will come together for the most epic time on March 16th, in a Last Man Standing match!
