  • Many Great Matches Signed For May 25th!!

» Fans in the Great Hall were elated last month when former WWE star U-Gene, back in IPW:UK for another appearance, made the challenge to the Hated Heroes for a Lumberjack rematch, ensuring that on May 25th he would be BACK in Bromley for another rare appearance!

Having been bullied earlier in the show, it was to both his and tag partner Andy Boy Simmonz’ chagrin that their opponents for both the last show and for When Thunder Strikes, The Hated Heroes, got themselves counted out to lose the bout. But the re-match has been signed under Lumberjack rules – there will be no escaping things this time as U-Gene settles his score and Andy Boy Simmonz starts on the path to ending his!

» ‘Gentleman’ Gilligan Gordon could be a name you hear a lot of during 2008 in IPW:UK if his Royale Rewards debut is anything to go by. Having swooped in and become the manager of ‘The Physical Specimen’ Joel Redman and ‘The Star Attraction’ Mark Haskins, the clever, cunning and rich businessman then added southern Thriller ‘The Fitness’ Ricky Hype and finally completed the group with the impactful addition of ‘Irresistible’ Iestyn Rees.

Haskins and Redman have competed in front of Orpington fans before, but Hype and Rees are newcomers to the home IPW:UK venue, both having come in with impressive track records in other promotions.

Rees, a former 4FW Heavyweight champion and touted as one of the absolute icons of the future of British wrestling, will go straight into the biggest match of his career on May 25th as he challenges the man who he laid out cold last time out, the IPW:UK Champion ‘The Guvnor’ Martin Stone. In order to ensure he got the match he wanted against Rees, Stone has put the IPW:UK Title on the line in what will be his 3rd defence.

Ricky Hype is a wrestler who has worked all across England, both in tag team and singles action, most recently powering through the colourful Jules Lambrini on an IPW:UK Portsmouth event. Another man with an impressive physique, Hype is a strong match for anybody.

» In addition to the previously confirmed Rees vs. Stone IPW:UK Title match, ipwuk.com can today confirm that IPW:UK Tag Team ChampionsThe Kartel have offered The Thrillers a re-match from the Bromley debut, as Joel Redman and Mark Haskins will once again go head to head with champions Samuels and Frazier as the pair look to go into their 9th month as IPW:UK Tag champions still unbeaten!

    British National Championship Continues!

» The most ambitious tournament in wrestling history continues on May 25th, as four men who will be looking to use this as a way onto IPW:UK cards regularly take to the squared circle.

Many will assume that El Ligero will have his hands full against ‘Vigilante’ Johnny Moss. In the first round, Ligero battled past rival up and down the country ‘Mr. Attitude’ Martin Kirby, in IPW:UK’s debut show in Hull. While down south, Moss defeated the camp JP Monroe with absolute ease to power into the 2nd round on his IPW debut.

For Moss, this will be a chance to prove his worth against a more rounded opponent, and a man who currently holds titles in every sector of the United Kingdom. For Ligero, it will be a chance to gain his first southern IPW victory on his Bromley debut.

In the second match-up, we see another big powerful star in ‘The Irish Giant’ Eamon O’Neill take on the popular underdog Spud.

O’Neill, undefeated since returning to IPW:UK shows on the southern coast in mid 2007, proved his worth against smaller opponents back in February, handily defeating ‘Leader of the New School’ Paul Robinson. In the first round of the competition O’Neill defeated Ricky Hype.

For Spud, he had to battle past another powerful big-man in round one in long term nemesis ‘The Human Hate Machine’ Dave Moralez. For Spud, a former mainstay on IPW:UK shows, he will be looking to show IPW officials and fans alike what they’ve been missing month after month!
