  • Stone faces Gordon's hired gun - Doug Basham!

» Last month at Bromley, the manager of the Thrillers, “Gentleman” Gilligan Gordon announced that he had struck a deal with an international superstar - none other than former WWE Superstar and Tag Champion Doug Basham. Known in WWE for his underhand tactics with his brother Danny, Basham now has one of the most conniving minds in British wrestling to conspire with - and if he captures the gold from Martin Stone in their Championship bout, Basham has agreed to hand it over to injured Thriller Iestyn Rees!

Stone, on the other hand, is as up for a fight as ever. Much like his recent defences against Mark Haskins and Ricky Hype, this contest was born of a challenge, which Stone had to accept - rather than him wrestling a compulsory bout against a ranked contender. Stone did not have to take this match - and the fact that he did speaks volumes about his confidence. This contest will be a fascinating one - but with the Thrillers ever near and the Guvnor in the mood to fight, whether it will be a clean-cut wrestling match remains to be seen…

  • The British National Championship rolls on towards its conclusion!

» With the restructured brackets of the British National Championship having now decided the first semi-finalist in Dan Head, the remainder of the third round now takes place to decide the 6 men who will enter the quarter-finals!

On a night when his partner in the Thrillers Iestyn Rees could capture the IPW:UK Championship without lifting a finger, Mark Haskins will have to work a little harder for his glory, as he faces the crown jewel of the Knight Dynasty, The Zebra Kid.

Haskins comes into this contest on the back of several losses, but is fully prepared to get back on track with a win and a place in the quarter-finals - and of course, even if Gilligan Gordon and Iestyn Rees are preoccupied with the main event, Joel Redman and Ricky Hype will provide “The Star Attraction” with more than adequate “Thriller” backup.

Zebra Kid, on the other hand, loves any opportunity to beat a man up, and on July 20th in Bromley, the lethal right foot of “Britain’s Hardest” will have the full support of the IPW:UK faithful. With the Royale Reward that goes to the winner of the annual Battle Royale already under his belt, Zebra has as much drive as anyone to go all the way in Britain’s biggest tournament.

» A match against Jonny Storm awaits the winner of the second round 3 match at “STACKED!”, in which the breakout star of the Leaders of the New School, Zack Sabre Jr, takes on the mysterious Last Ninja. Sabre’s incredible mat skills and lethal strikes have impressed IPW:UK fans so far in the tournament, despite the sour attitude and arrogance him and his fellow Leaders display. Wins against formidable opponents such as Aviv Mayaan and All-Star Wrestling’s Mikey Whiplash have made Sabre a gambler’s favourite in the tournament - an outside shot at 66/1, with as good a chance as any of walking away with the big prize.

But despite Sabre’s momentum and an obvious size disparity, the Last Ninja shouldn’t be discounted. Having downed international star Pac and the downright frightening Maddog Maxx, the high-flying martial artist will be ready for the challenge of Sabre (and the Leaders at ringside).

  • Former partners collide once more! Who will “STACK” the tables on July 20th?

» A terrible pun aside, this match is as serious as they come. Andy Boy Simmonz and LT Summers genuinely hate one another, and LT’s affiliation with “A-List” leader Billi Lightning stirs the pot all the more. Each man has issues with the other, born of cheating, interference, backstabbing and trash talking - and at this point, these issues can only be resolved with a fight.

Last month the challenge was made and accepted, and the match was sanctioned - and now on Sunday 20th July, at the Great Hall of the Bromley Civic Centre, Andy Boy Simmonz and LT Summers will face each other in a TABLES match. IPW:UK fans are urged to stay in their seats.

  • And therefore the current card for IPW:UK “STACKED!!” on Sunday July 20th 2008 is:

Main Event - IPW:UK Title Match
    - ‘The Guv’nor’ Martin Stone © [4 defences] vs. Doug Basham [challenge accepted] (w/ Gilligan Gordon & The Thrillers)

    Grudge Tables Match
    - Andy Boy Simmonz vs. LT Summers (w/ The ‘A’ List)

    British National Championship: Round 3
    - Zack Sabre Jr. (w/ The Leaders of the New School) vs. The Last Ninja

    British National Championship: Round 3
    - “The Star Attraction” Mark Haskins (w/ Gilligan Gordon & The Thrillers) vs. The Zebra Kid

Plus much, much more to be announced, including IPW:UK Tag Team Champions The Kartel, Ricky Hype and Joel Redman of The Thrillers, and many more!

Your Master of Ceremonies ‘Hardcore’ John Atkins, with referees Chris Hatch, Andrew Quildan & Tommy Stevens.

» IPW:UK wish to point out that due to an increase in cost, in order to keep the high standard that fans are used to seeing on an IPW:UK show, that Bromley events will find a slight price structuring change as of July 20th.
