Blood To Be Drawn As Stone Chooses His Match – Against Thrillers Head Honcho Gordon!
» Last month, ‘The Guvnor’ Martin Stone put his IPW:UK Title on the line in a match where if he lost, the title would not go to the challenger – instead, Doug Basham, Stone’s opponent would default the title over to Iestyn Rees – who has yet to even return from injury and compete in Bromley!
However, Stone retained the title, and as part of that agreement, he got to choose any match against anybody. His choice was a FIRST BLOOD match against none other than the MANAGER of The Thrillers, ‘Gentleman’ Gilligan Gordon!!
And so, blood will be spilt this Sunday, as Stone and Gordon battle it out for the first time ever, as the manager becomes a wrestler and steps into the squared circle against ‘The Guvnor’!
The British National Continuation
» This Sunday also sees the firm continuation of the British National Championship, as the third round draws to a close and the Quarter Finals begin!
In the second to last Third Round contest, All-England champ Sam Slam puts his gold on the line once again against the plucky underdog that is Spud! These two firm fan favourites will go head to head for the second time – last time out, Sam got the victory on the way to winning a one-night tournament which gave him Under 23 gold.
Then, in our first quarterfinal match we see ‘The Wonderkid’ Jonny Storm whirlwind into Bromley to take on the rank outsider left in the tournament, from the Leaders of the New School, he is Zack Sabre Jr.
Storm has already downed Jorge Castano, the monster eXodus, and the Bad Boy Jon Ryan on his way to the quarter finals, while Sabre Jr has upset Aviv Maayan, overcome Mikey Whiplash, and destroyed Jules Lambrini. These two fast-paced stars will clash one-on-one, another ‘first ever’ match as a result of the British National Championship!
And of course, two men who are now no strangers to each other now are Terry Frazier of The Kartel and ‘The Star Attraction’ Mark Haskins, of The Thrillers.
Both men have competed in numerous multi-man matches over the past few months, but this will be their first ever singles meeting. After coming out a winner in a singles bout with Joel Redman last month in his Third round BNC match, Frazier will look to make it a thrilling double to sail into the Semi-Final round!
Firearms Ban As Gunn Pulls Out!
» IPW:UK are sad to let fans know that the former “Billy Gunn”, now TNA’s Kip James, has withdrawn from shows for IPW:UK this weekend. The former WWE star was unreasonable with renegotiations, and as a result will not be appearing in Petersfield or Bromley this weekend.
This does mean however that one match which may not have been able to take place, will…
Grudge Streetfight Set For This Sunday!
» After being duped into a loss last time out, former IPW:UK champ Andy Boy Simmonz is ready to once again wage war on his former best friend LT Summers – this time, in a streetfight.
Summers, who was scheduled in another bout, has had his schedule wiped clean, and as a result, has now accepted Simmonz’ challenge for a streetfight – but in singles competition. Simmonz’ original challenge was for a two-on-one handicap street fight, with Summers and his new best friend Billi Lightning forming a tandem. This offer was declined.
Instead, Bromley fans get to witness the third bout between Summers and Simmonz, and with each one getting more fierce, there’s never been a more apt name for an event than Summer Sizzler!
And therefore the current card for IPW:UK’s “Summer Sizzler” on Sunday August 31st is:
First Blood Match
- “The Guv’nor Martin Stone vs. ‘Gentleman’ Gilligan Gordon (w/ The Thrillers)
Grudge Streetfight

- ‘The Star Attraction’ Mark Haskins vs. Terry Frazier
British National Championship: Quarter Final Round
- ‘The Wonderkid’ Jonny Storm vs. Zack Sabre Jr
