4th Anniversary Tour Starts This Sunday In Bromley!

Posted by Daniel Edler

IPW:UK is 4 - and the celebration starts here!

» One week from today, IPW:UK begins its fourth Anniversary tour in our home venue, the Great Hall of the Bromley Civic Centre - but it’s the IPW:UK fans who’ll be getting the presents! IPW:UK management has announced no less than FIVE blockbuster matches (note - NOT five Blok Busta matches) for the event, and each one is a main-event-worthy contest!

The prodigy of the Thrillers gets his shot - with a twist!

» Last month, the manager of the Thrillers, “Gentleman” Gilligan Gordon, shockingly defeated IPW:UK Champion Martin Stone in a first blood match (albeit with a little help from his protégées). That now means that next Sunday, “Irresistible” Iestyn Rees will have his title shot under the Thrillers’ choice of stipulations. Gordon announced post-match that the title contest will be a straight wrestling match - but with the Thrillers strongly represented in official positions. Gordon himself will be the guest commentator, whilst Mark Haskins, Joel Redman and Ricky Hype taking on timekeeping, announcing and enforcing duties at ringside. Martin Stone’s reign as champion is in severe jeopardy - but the Thrillers themselves won’t be in for an easy night…

6-man tag announced - the Firm and the Thrillers will battle again!

» With their respective in-ring figureheads facing off in the main event, the rest of Martin Stone’s Firm and Iestyn Rees’ Thrillers have volunteered themselves for battle against each other. Unified British Tag Team Champions The Kartel will team with Leroy Kincade to take on Mark Haskins, Joel Redman and Ricky Hype in a 6-man tag team match. Fans who witnessed Stone and the Kartel do battle with the same 3 Thrillers in June at When Thunder Strikes will know to expect a wildly unpredictable brawl - IPW:UK urges you to stay in your seats.

Thunder prepares to weather the Storm!

» Two months ago at IPW:UK Stacked, fans were horrified as Jack Storm brutally attacked JC Thunder with a chair after a gruelling grudge match with Blok Busta, leaving the former IPW:UK Champion with a 3-inch gash on the back of his head and a concussion. Thunder has spent the time since then recuperating and training up - and has now demanded a match with Storm next Sunday. Storm agreed, relishing the opportunity to “kill another hero” once and for all, and the IPW:UK board has now made the match official. Storm vs. Thunder will take place at Bromley.

The British National Championship heats up with a huge 3rd round match!

» With the first semi-final already decided, the third round of the British National Championship will draw to a close with a mammoth contest, as 4-time NWA-UK heavyweight Champion “Vigilante” Johnny Moss takes on Britain’s most successful export, “The Anarchist” Doug Williams! A huge match in any context, these two proud NWA-UK-trained stars will battle it out for a place in the quarter-finals against Sam Slam - in which, of course, the All-England Championship will be on the line. A massive contest with massive ramifications - this one is not to be missed.

The grudge continues - Moralez vs. Ryan IV!

» With Jack Storm in singles action against rival JC Thunder, IPW:UK management has signed the other half of the Untouchables to a grudge match of his own! Born of a backstage argument, this rivalry has now escalated into one of IPW:UK’s most fierce series of matches to date! Starting with a no-contest brawl at Broxbourne in June, Moralez went on to score a victory over Ryan with a sickening lariat at July’s Stacked. However, Ryan levelled the score to 1-1 by defeating Moralez at last month’s Summer Sizzler with his trademark Ryanoku Driver - and some unsolicited distractions from Jules Lambrini. Which man will come out victorious in match #4? And will the “Champ of Camp” make another surprise appearance? Only time will tell, but one thing can be guaranteed - this match will not be a friendly contest.

And therefore the current card for IPW:UK’s “Fourth Anniversary Tour - Bromley” is:

IPW:UK Championship match with the Thrillers at ringside
- “The Guv’nor” Martin Stone [5 defences] vs. “Irresistible” Iestyn Rees [number one contender]

6-man tag team match

British National Championship - 3rd Round
- “Vigilante” Johnny Moss vs. “The Anarchist” Doug Williams
