First Two Matches For Alton Signed

Tag Team Titles On the Line

Since its inception 5 years ago IPW has put a strong emphasis on a dying art in the sport of professional wrestling: the tag team division, in the process producing some of the most breathtaking moments ever witnessed on these shores.

With the division seemingly going from strength to strength on Sunday May 3rd a new height was reached as The Leaders of The New School toppled the defending tag team champions The Thrillers in an impromptu bout that was instantly hailed by everyone in attendance as an all time classic.

The newly crowned tag team champions Zack Sabre Jnr. & Marty Scurll have since vowed that this is just the tip of the iceberg and have expressed a desire to IPW management to take the British Tag Team Titles to new places taking on any and all challengers.

With that in mind their first challenge has been lined up for them on Friday May 29th in form of the tag team specialists Mark Sloan and Wade Fitzgerald, collectively known as BritRage.

Sloan and Fitzgerald highlight all the qualities needed to succeed in tag team wrestling. They train together, work together and know each others game inside out. With both men possessing qualities that more than match their equally impressive opponents BritRage without a doubt provide a very real threat to The Leaders tag team gold.

» Gilligan Gordon is said to be fuming at the loss about both the tag team and British Championships from camp Thriller and is said to be issuing an official statement in the next few days. What the dastardly Gordon will have up his sleeve is anyone’s guess. But what is for sure to anyone who knows Gordon is the fact he won’t take these losses lying down.

Former ROH Pure Champion To Return

Following his contest with Thriller member Joel Redman, the former ROH Pure Champion ‘Hurricane’ John Walters expressed his desire to return to IPW before the years end stating a desire to extract some revenge on The Thrillers for the manner of his defeat, ruining what would otherwise in his own words been a ‘perfect IPW debut’.

Well the good news for Walters is that IPW management are just as keen for him to return and not just that he won’t have to wait as long as the end of the year for that opportunity as in just under 3 weeks time on Friday May 29th IPW matchmakers have paired him with The Thrillers ‘Star Attraction’ Mark Haskins. In a singles contest that could well prove to be a show stealer.

Therefore the current card looks as follows:

International Challenge
‘The Star Attraction’ Mark Haskins vs ‘Hurricane’ John Walters

Undisputed British Tag Team Championship
The Leaders (Zack Sabre Jnr. & Marty Scurll) vs BritRage (Mark Sloan & Wade Fitzgerald)

Plus: Sky One Gladiator: Goliath & much much more!
