» Can little Spud finally defeat The Big O?
When you look at the two contrasting figures of ‘The Big O’ Nick ‘Oblivion’ Aldis and the Birmingham native Spud, one would instantly assume that any contest between the two would result in a straight forward victory for the bigger, stronger Aldis and if you were to look at the record books you wouldn’t be blamed for thinking that was the case in the pairs previous two outings.
However those who witnessed the battles know that this couldn’t be further from the truth as the plucky underdog Spud stood up to the bully boy of The Gladiators and took him to the limits coming close to defeating him on both occasions.
Many speculate that if it wasn’t for the fact that The Big O resorted to taking every shortcut in the book including direct cheating leading to the finish of both contests then the outcome would have been quite different.
Despite this fact it’s very clear that the cocky and arrogant Aldis doesn’t see Spud as threat, stating on numerous times: ‘he can’t beat me.’ It those 4 words that Spud has heard over and over again and those four words that have made Spud more determined than ever to prove the Gladiator and all his followers wrong. Next week he will get the opportunity to do that as the pair will collide one more time in singles competition as Spud looks set to take care of some UNFINISHED BUSINESS.
So next Sunday, June 28th on IPW’s debut in Hertford will it be 3rd time lucky for Spud, or will the Big O
