  • "The Squire" To Face "The Guvnor" At MAKE OR BREAK!!

» On returning to IPW:UK, former WWE star and British wrestling legend in his own right, Dave Taylor, requested that after handily defeating a former IPW:UK Champion in Andy Boy Simmonz last time IPW:UK were in Swanley, he wants this time to fight for the top gold itself! However...

With SUCH a strong main event division in IPW:UK at the moment, and many stars from all across the world (from the likes of British National Championship winner Terry Frazier, to former long time All-England Champion Sam Slam, to recently successful El Generico and through to our very own resident Gladiator and TNA wrestling star Oblivion) in firm contention for a title shot, it has been decided that Taylor, who is one win from one bout in IPW:UK, must take on one more challenger - with the winner of this match being guaranteed an IPW:UK Title shot!

» His opponent is no stranger - five or so years ago, many of the future stars of the British wrestling scene travelled across to America to train under some of the top trainers around, including William Regal and Dave Taylor. One of those men was the man who now holds the record for longest reigning and arguably most dominant champion ever in IPW:UK - he is, "The Guvnor" Martin Stone!

It would not be a lie to say that as soon as Stone found out Taylor was looking a shot at the top IPW:UK gold, he was on the phone to IPW:UK matchmakers Daniel Edler and Andy Quildan asking to face off against his former trainer and a man he no doubt used to have a lot of respect for. He argued that he and Taylor were in the same boat - both being one win away from having the required momentum to move back into the IPW:UK title picture.

After a strong showing in winning the Anniversary Gauntlet this past Sunday, as well as an absolute demolition of Blok Busta in Chatham last week, IPW:UK have agreed and have signed the bout for October 10th as a co-main event.

» In keeping with the MAKE OR BREAK theme of the show, the winner of this bout will receive a GUARANTEED IPW:UK Title shot at a future Swanley event, while the loser will be out of contention for any match at the next Swanley event later this/early next year.

  • In Other News:

» After their victory on Sunday, The Leaders combo of Marty Scurll and Zack Sabre Jr remain our IPW:UK British Tag Team champions. As an additional bonus, they now actually have possession of both of the tag title belts for the first time in their reign, after un-strapping them from the ceiling of the Wyvern Hall in a crazy crazy Tables, Ladders and Chairs match!

» And of course, the big news is that we have unified the All-England and IPW:UK titles, creating one dominant singles champion in IPW:UK! ON OCTOBER 10th everybody involved will be proud to present your new IPW:UK Unified British Champion, Leroy Kincaide, in a ceremony to honour the IPW veteran's loyalty and first reign as top dog in IPW:UK!

  • And therefore the current card for IPW:UK’s “MAKE OR BREAK” is:

Co-Main Event; IPW:UK Unified British Title Contenders Bout
    - Former WWE star 'The Squire' Dave Taylor vs. Former IPW:UK Champion 'The Guvnor' Martin Stone

    IPW:UK Unified British Title Ceremony
    - IPW:UK ceremony to crown our new unified champion, Leroy Kincaide!

    IPW:UK British Tag Title Match
    - The Leaders (c) [5th defence] in tag team competition!

» Plus The Thrillers, Terry Frazier, Paul Robinson, Ashley Reed, RJ Singh, Snare and much much more!

    - Your MC will be none other than Andy Quildan, with Dave 'Stats' Bradshaw on commentary and your referees Chris Hatch and Chris Roberts.
