The British Eagle Looking To Re-Capture Cruiserweight Gold!
» A former Cruiserweight Champion and a tough predator who has flown up the rankings, the British Eagle will look to October 10th at MAKE OR BREAK to wing his way right to the top of the Cruiserweight ladder as he gets a shot against current Cruiserweight Champ Mark Haskins. But when it comes to The Thrillers, things are never just THAT simple...
With no automatic rematch clause signed for the Eagle, Haskins' manager (and self proclaimed manager of champions) 'Gentleman' Gilligan Gordon has stated that with such a "poor recent record", the feathered flyer doesn't deserve another shot at Cruiser gold, and that he only won the title originally by catching the champ off guard at one of IPW:UK's Easter season events in Selsey.
This however couldn't be further from the truth, as the Eagle has not only got an excellent record over all through the summer, but in his recent losing efforts to both El Generico and Jonny Storm, two top international cruiserweights, he gained much adulation for quite how much punishment it took to keep him down.
The 'Gentleman' however has stated that his charge, 'The Star Attraction' Mark Haskins WILL put his Cruiserweight Title on the line, IF The British Eagle puts up his Career in exchange! And shockingly, the Eagle has agreed!
Therefore on October 10th, either we'll crown a brand new Cruiserweight Champion and the final scrap of gold in the camp of the Thrillers will disappear, OR Mark Haskins will literally kill two birds with one stone as he makes his second defence of his title and removes the brightest new Cruiserweight spark in recent memory from the British wrestling scene!
» In keeping with the MAKE OR BREAK theme of the show, if the British Eagle defeats 'The Star Attraction' Mark Haskins he will become the new Cruiserweight Champion! However, should the Eagle be defeated in the contest via pinfall or submission, he will be struck from the IPW:UK roster and must retire from active competition with immediate effect! This one is about as true to the MAKE OR BREAK stipulation as is possible for the British Eagle!
He's Suicidal Alright - Jimmy Havoc Answers The Challenge Of Snare!
» Fans who have been to our recent 18+ adult shows in Chatham, Kent, will have seen 'Suicidal, Suicidal, Suicidal' Jimmy Havoc give literally 200% in his attempt to stay as the official hardcore icon, not only for the Tap 'n' Tin venue, but IPW:UK as a whole. Don't believe us? Check out this snap by IPW fan Dave Lovell from our annual Hardcore Lottery show earlier this month: http://ipwuk.com/multimedia/jimmyhavocjonryan.jpg
With success however has clearly come insanity - because Havoc, currently one of the assistant trainers at the IPW:UK training school in Kent, is going to challenge one of the men who has absolutely stormed through the academy in recent months; that man is Snare.
» An impressive being with a background in Mixed Martial Arts and all around brutality, Snare is the most beastly product of the IPW:UK training school. Debuting in January at the IPW:UK academy show, he threw around and handily defeated "The South East's #1 Amateur Wrestling Champion" Benjamin Miles in a matter of minutes, eventually submitting the youngster via a brutal Arm bar submission.
Having defeated every other trainee and remained on a 100% win streak during training bouts, Snare debuted on main shows during the Selsey summer season, continuing to defeat and maul everybody else IPW:UK put in his path. With that in mind, he was one of the first names booked for MAKE OR BREAK on October 10th, because anybody able to stop snare will MAKE IPW:UK matchmakers' jaws drop, but it's most likely he simply will BREAK his opponent in half!
» In keeping with the MAKE OR BREAK theme of the show, if Jimmy Havoc stops Snare and wins the bout IPW:UK will grant him a No Disqualification match against anybody on the roster for IPW:UK's next show in Swanley on December 12th! If Snare defeats the hardcore superstar, IPW:UK will grant him any non-title singles match he desires for December Swanley return!
India's Finest Look To Take The IPW:UK Tag Team Gold Back To Asia!!
» The IPW:UK tag team division has, since IPW:UK's inception, been a focal point to any of our shows. From our early wars between tag team champions like AK47 and The Untouchables, to recent athletic tag team bouts between the likes of fan favourites The Kartel, alongside the villainous team of Thrillers lead by 'Gentleman' Gilligan Gordon.
After all was said and done however, it was The Leaders of the New School who are looking to emerge out of 2009 and into 2010 as the British Tag Team Champions, and with only a few more events to go, and the amazing Tables, Ladders & Chairs war that we saw in Sittingbourne for the 5th Anniversary Show, looking a shoe in to do so.
As such, enter some new, fresh, challengers, in the shape of 'The Bombay Dream' RJ Singh and his young annoying protégé Dazzling' Darrell Amrah.
» Singh, a 8 year British circuit pro, was one of the top cruiserweights in action all through the heyday of the FWA, appearing on television and capturing FWA singles gold on two occasions. He debuted for IPW:UK during its inaugural year, but really only returned strongly to the fold within the past 12 months, taking over as a part-time and then full-time coach of the IPW:UK Academy.
During his time in charge of the popular training facility, he came across his star pupil, the man now known as 'Dazzling' Darrel Amrah. One of the stand-outs of the training school, Amrah was knocking around in singles competition against other top trainees, but couldn't find enough momentum to impress IPW:UK matchmakers and get their attention enough to make his main show debut - until Singh stepped into the picture.
Now the Bhangra Knights will get the chance to step directly into the spotlight as they go two-on-two against the lightning quick pairing of The Leaders, as Marty Scurll & Zack Sabre Jr have agreed to defend their gold against the newcomers...
» This is, of course, on the basis that due to the Leaders' MAKE OR BREAK stipulation, should the brash egotistic Bollywood boys lose, they must KISS the FEET of The Leaders (most likely after they've already been introduced to the hard hitting shins of the Leaders a few minutes earlier)!
If however The Bhangra Knights defeat The Leaders they will become the brand new IPW:UK British Tag Team Champions and take the gold back to India!
In Other News:
» IPW:UK officials confirmed this week that our brand new champion Leroy Kincaide, despite currently being signed off from active in-ring competition, will still be in Swanley on October 10th to be officially awarded his Unified British Title from IPW:UK matchmakers Daniel Edler and Andy Quildan!
» Former IPW:UK champion 'Irresistible' Iestyn Rees has shown a lot of indirect interest in the result of the Martin Stone/Dave Taylor main event. With Rees on the path to returning from injury, and with a guaranteed IPW:UK British Unified Title shot under on his contract for when he does return, the whole main event division is of definite current interest for the 'Irresistible' one!
And therefore the current card for IPW:UK’s “MAKE OR BREAK” is:
Main Event; IPW:UK Title Contenders Bout - Winner Faces Leroy Kincaide December 12th!
- Former WWE star 'The Squire' Dave Taylor vs. Former IPW:UK Champion 'The Guvnor' Martin Stone

- Snare vs. 'Suicidal, Suicidal, Suicidal' Jimmy Havoc!
» PLUS - from the Saturday night primetime TV show, Richard Hammond's 'Total Wipeout', he's Mr. Total Wipeout himself, 'Hotshot' Ricky Hype, in singles action and much much more!
- Your MC will be none other than Andy Quildan, with Dave 'Stats' Bradshaw on commentary and your referees Chris Hatch and Chris Roberts.
