» After victory over the monstrous Stixx in an impressive debut at Dragongate UK The Lion Kid marched on to IPW’s live presentation at Bognor with all the momentum in the world and used that momentum to defeat ‘The Specialist’ Mark Sloan taking his overall record to 2-0 in the process earning himself a shot at the Cruserweight Championship currently held by ‘The Star Attraction’ Mark Haskins.
The date for the championship bout has been set as the two will collide on Sunday November 22nd IPW’s Brawl At The Hall in a match which just like every other on the bill promises to steal the show.
Coming off of the epic series of matches with The Leaders, Haskins will head into this contest with a point to prove.
Will 3rd time be the charm for the highflying sensation or will the Thrillers ‘Star Attraction’ finish the year 2009 the way he means to go on... with victory. There’s only one way to find out and that’s to make sure you’re in Sittingbourne, next Sunday November 22nd.
It’s with deep regret that today have to inform you that CZW’s Ruckus will not be fulfilling his international booking commitments to Pro Wrestling 101 & IPW:UK in the next week. The news broke to us mid-week that Ruckus had suffered a knee injury in a bout over the weekend and would potentially be unable to compete.
With his flight already booked and paid for and with the help of Ruckus’ tag team partner Sabian we sought about finding a possible replacement and thought we had in form of international star Ricky Reyes however sadly upon calling the airline we were told that as well as being non-refundable the flight was also non-transferable and with no additional budget it made bringing in a replacement from the other side of the pond impossible.
Upon learning of this news we contacted Ruckus in an attempt to get him to come over anyway to either fight through the pain or to simply come along, sign some autographs and meet the fans. This is an offer that late yesterday we learned he had declined.
We are disappointed in the fact that the airline would neither refund the flight full, partially nor allow us to change the name. We are also disappointed that Ruckus declined the opportunity to come along anyway to meet the great fans of PW101 & IPW respectively. We don’t anticipate doing any further business with Ruckus and can only apologise to the fans excited about seeing him in action.
Out of pocket maybe but as the saying goes, both shows must go on and both PW101 & IPW:UK have gone about finding suitable replacements.
The scheduled BLK OUT tag team encounters are out. Sabian’s matches for the two shows will be announced in coming days. However things have come full circle & live next Sunday November 22nd at The Brawl At The Hall, The Leaders combination of Zack Sabre Jnr. & Marty Scurll will put their gold on the line against the two men who they were scheduled to face on that hot May night when they captured the British Tag Team Titles. El Ligero & Bubblegum: Hubba Bubba Lucha. Meaning that one of 2009’s most hotly anticipated tag team encounters will finally happen!
Again we apologise for any inconvenience caused & can only re-assure you that we have done everything in our power to in the first instance bring Ruckus over and when that fell through to find suitable replacements and in Jimmy Havoc & Hubba Bubba Lucha both PW101 & IPW:UK respectively believe we have done that!
