» The highflying, innovative duo of Cheech and Cloudy will be in tag team action on Friday February 19th as they will compete against the equally gifted combination of ‘The Wonderkid’ Jonny Storm & The newly crowned British Cruserweight Champion The Lion Kid in a match that on paper is a mouth watering prospect to say the least as this one has the potential to steal the show.
Will the visitors from across the pond make their desired impact on the hottest tag team division in Euorpe right now or will the makeshift combination of Storm and Kid be able to mesh their singles games with one another and pull out the victory?
Homecoming for Andy Boy Simmonz
One man who was always the first name on the IPW match makers booking sheets was Andy Boy Simmonz; and being a former two time IPW:UK British Heavyweight Champion (one of only two men to achieve that feet along with Martin Stone) it was with good reason. But in recent months with an influx of fresh new talent Andy Boy has admittedly got ‘lost in the shuffle’.
Simmonz recently spent a considerable amount of time down at IPW HQ talking with match makers and officials and has promised that 2010 will the be the year that he re-discovers the passion for the sport he loves so dear.
Believe us when we say this Andy Boy is taking this ‘comeback’ of sorts very seriously. Whilst others were out celebrating the holiday season Simmonz locked himself away studying tapes of overseas wrestling shows as well as countless hours of footage from the IPW archives studying the intricacies of manoeuvres and holds as well as scouting potential opposition.
Andy Boy is dedicated to carving a legacy for himself as one of the all time greats and what better way to look to re-discover the form that saw him lift the UK’s most prestigious gold on two separate occasions than on Friday February 19th in his home town of Petersfield. Simmonz has invited his friends and family along for the ride and has promised that this will be the first step back onto the road of earning back his full time spot on the IPW roster.
