» When you talk about all the great technical classics we have seen in IPW:UK over the past 6 years the name Joel Redman will be involved 9 times out of 10. On Sunday August 1st Redman will get another opportunity to put on a technical master class as he goes one on one with a man who is more than capable of matching him hold for hold, move for move in James Tighe.

One of European wrestling’s finest young technicians Redman has made a reputation for putting on a series of world class matches. Yet that reputation had always been tarnished by the company he chose to keep (namely Gilligan Gordon & The Thrillers) and the unsportsmanlike way he went about competing.

Things however began to change for Redman off the back of the no pun intended ‘thrilling’ series of encounters with The Leaders of The New School as fans started to respect the work ethic of the man known as ‘The Physical Specimen’ & Redman began to respond. Cutting out a lot of the dirty tactics & responding a little more to fan reaction. Sadly for him this coincided with a dip of a form which saw him fall to series of straight defeats.

The reason Redman maintained his place on the IPW roster despite this defeats were quite frankly due to the calibre of competition that Redman was going against, the likes of James Mason, Leroy Kincaide & Doug Williams all top ten heavyweights in their own right. However this didn’t sit well with an increasingly frustrated GillIgan Gordon, who felt if Redman listened a little closer to his instruction and broke a few more rules his luck would quickly change.

It was following the loss to Williams at this month’s Unfinished Business that things finally reached boiling point, with Gordon verbally reprimanding Redman for his loss, it was one ear bashing too many for a frustrated and disgruntled Redman who for the first time in his entire IPW career stood up to his mentor but just before he was able to put his hands on the snake Gordon he was blindsided by what was later revealed to be Gordon’s latest charge, the returning James Tighe.

IPW matchmakers had heard rumblings that over the past few months that James Tighe was making a return to the ring competing in a number of ‘tune-up’ matches for the likes of Premier Promotions and quite ironically Joel Redman’s own Devon Wrestling Association. It has since come to light that it was indeed Gordon who put together those match ups for his new client. It’s also come to our attention that a vast amount of the time that Gordon was away toward the close of 2009 he was courting the man who’s hailed as ‘the technical wizard’.

We all know that on his day Tighe is a world beater and one of the finest technicians to ever step into the ring and with a series of ‘warm up’ bouts already under his belt Gordon is insisting that ring rust won’t be an issue and come Sunday August 1st you will see the best James Tighe you have ever seen.

The chilling words that left the mouth of Redman’s former employer were ‘This is James Tighe. Look at everything he achieved without me. Imagine what he’s going to achieve WITH me’ on Sunday August 1st we will find out exactly what he can achieve as for the first time accompanied by Gilligan Gordon James Tighe will go one on one with a motivated Joel Redman in a singles match that will surely have wrestling purists sitting on the edge of their seats.

Therefore the current card for IPW:UK 6 Year Anniversary Show Looks As Follows:
