Marty Scurll has never been a popular figure with IPW:UK fans. From the moment he rode into the Drill Hall in Ware at the British Under-23 Championship in 2006 on a wheeled platform pulled by a ring crew member, the fans knew they wouldn’t be seeing much reserve from Cambridge’s proudest student. Even with the crowds already turned against him, Scurll gained further disdain from the IPW faithful when he formed the Leaders of the New School along with Paul Robinson and Nikko Brixton. Since then, Scurll’s star has risen, and he has begun competing in higher-profile matches, including multiple IPW:UK Tag Team Championship matches.

With Robinson, Brixton and newest Leader Zack Sabre Jr behind him, Scurll’s considerable technical skill has plenty of backup should plans go awry. Him and his fellow Leaders of the New School are a force to be reckoned with.
